As Senior Advisor for Asia, Jay Kim assists The Gale Company in the development, planning and implementation support for complex infrastructure projects both in his native South Korea and internationally with direct project experience throughout Asia and North America. Currently Jay Kim’s efforts are focused on the New Songdo City (NSC) project in South Korea. He is well versed in the areas of utility construction, privatization, and airport and seaport development, all of which are important elements of the NSC project. He is an expert in bringing together and cost-effectively coordinating the efforts of the many and diverse groups that are required to make very large scale projects successful.
Jay Kim spent a large portion of his career directing, managing, and analyzing the construction of nuclear power plants throughout the world. His resume also includes several years experience in the hospitality industry, having purchased, owned and operated 5 hotels.

Pietro is concurrently Principal of Doran Capital Partners, Advisor to The Gale Company in Korea, Partner in the Gale Korean joint venture entity called New Songdo City Development Company (‘NSC’) and Senior Advisor to the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds (“MSREF”) in Korea. Prior to holding these positions, he was the President and CEO of Kearny Global Inc. (KGI) and Kearny Buck Korea (KBK), wholly owned asset management divisions of MSREF. Both KGI and KBK were formed from the acquisition of The John Buck Company Korea (“JBC”) of which he was both founder and principal. Since the acquisition of JBC by MSREF in May 1999, Pietro has guided MSREF in accumulating a Korean investment portfolio valued at over KRW800 billion representing both real estate asset-backed securities (“ABS”) and direct building acquisitions. A pioneer in structuring Korea’s real estate services sector, he established the country’s first international real estate practice in 1991. Throughout his career in Korea, Pietro has completed over $700 million in real estate transactions assisting over 200 foreign and Korean multinational corporations and government agencies and foreign embassies. He holds a Masters of Science in Real Estate Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S.in Finance (Cum Laude) from the University of Massachusetts. Pietro is a 12-year resident of Korea and lives in Seoul with his wife (a Korean national) and two children.
