The Gale Company
John Hynes opened a Boston office for The Gale Company in January 1999, when he became its local partner for the Northeast Region. His focus includes investment opportunity evaluation, development site assemblage, brokerage networking, third-party property management and build-to-suit opportunities. He has been active in the Greater Boston commercial real estate community since graduating from college in 1980. As a broker, John has participated in as many office leasing and sales transactions as any active broker in the marketplace today - over 250 transactions, totaling over 6 million square feet involving hundreds of companies. As the local development partner with one of the most respected and diversified service firms in the United States from 1983 to 1993, he completed three office projects totaling 950,000 square feet with an aggregate value in excess of $200 million.
In his first year with The Gale Company, he was responsible for the assemblage, permitting, financing and leasing of One Lincoln Street, a 36-story, $500 million, 1,100,000 square foot office tower in Boston’s Financial District. One Lincoln Street broke ground in April 2000 and was the first speculative office building to be built in the Financial District since 1992. In May of 2001, he successfully consummated a 1,100,000 square foot lease with State Street Corporation. This lease is the largest lease transaction in Boston history. In July 2001 he successfully negotiated and consummated a joint venture agreement with POSCO E&C and the City of Incheon, South Korea for a 1,500-acre master plan development project known as New Songdo City. This project is the first international real estate joint venture in the history of South Korea and is one of the largest master planned development projects in the world. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, this $20 billion, 100 million square foot, 10-year project is in the financing and design development phase as of this writing.
John is a graduate of Harvard University where he was co-caption of the Varsity Hockey Team in 1979/1980 and received several honors and awards. John’s grandfather served as Mayor of Boston from 1949 to 1959 and his father, Jack, has been a long-term fixture in the Boston media community.

As Vice President of Property Management, Boston, Kevin is responsible for all operations including the assembly and supervision of the Property Management Team, the creation and coordination of operating specifications, budgets and contracts, management of tenant relations, and the overall financial administration and value creation activities for the asset. Kevin has over 14 years of real estate experience including a combined 10 years as Corporate Controller at a national firm and Director of Finance for a major real estate portfolio. He joined The Gale Company in 2002, during the final phases of One Lincoln Street's construction, in order to oversee the construction transition and start-up of the asset. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business / Accounting, from Saint Michael's College, Vermont, where he received scholastic / athletic honors and was a captain of the hockey team in 1988. He is currently enrolled in the Real Estate Studies Certification program at Boston University and is a member of BOMA, NAIOP, REFA and the Boston Treasurer's Club.
David A. Raszmann

David is responsible for the financial projections, project and asset management, and supporting new business development for the New England market. Prior to joining The Gale Company in 2000, David spent twelve years as Vice President with a Boston based realty group. During the period 1987 through 1996, he was responsible for asset management and development activities for this companies, retail, and residential property investments. In 1997 through 1999, he was a member of the sales team, which sold it’s investment real estate portfolio. Mr. Raszmann holds a Bachelor of Arts from the School of Architecture and Planning, State University of New York, and an MBA from Yale University.
Charles D. Reid, RA

Charles joined The Gale Company’s Boston Office in October 2001 to serve as Project Executive for One Lincoln Street, a 1.1million square foot office tower located in Boston’s Financial District. This Project is on schedule and is slated for completion in June 2003. Prior to joining The Gale Company, Mr. Reid spent 18 years with large National Real Estate Firm, most recently as a Senior Director and Partner. In this capacity he was responsible for developing over 10,000,000 square feet of new buildings and major renovations. Prior to this Charles served as Project Manager and Senior Associate for an architectural and engineering firm. A retired Lt. Col. In the United States Marine Corps Reserve, he is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Architecture, and has completed graduate studies at Columbia University and New York University. Leonard M. Conlin, Jr.

Len joined The Gale Company in June 2000 to manage all aspects of construction services for in-house and third party projects. He brings with him 19 years of progressive experience in general contracting, construction management and real estate development. Residential experience includes such notable projects as: Tent City Housing, Back Bay; The Heritage on the Garden, Back Bay; Orchard Cove Assisted Living Residences, Canton; and The Charlesgate Renovation, Boston. Prior to joining The Gale Company, Mr. Conlin worked for a several large construction firms. Mr. Conlin holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Cum-laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He resides in Marblehead with his wife Susan and their three children Jack, Michael and Kate.
