
Stephen P. Trapp, P.E.
President, The Gale Construction Company
Appointed President of The Gale Construction Company in 2007, Steve is responsible for the design and construction for The Gale Real Estate Services Company's development projects. He previously served as Senior Vice President, leading Gale Construction's pre-construction efforts for both development and third party projects, and supervising project management operations during the construction phase and through turnover. Steve retains over 22 years of experience within the construction industry with nationally recognized construction organizations. He has a proven track record in the successful delivery of dozens of new and renovation construction projects ranging in value from less than $1 million to $70 million. Steve earned his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and a Masters in Construction Management from The University of California, graduating with honors from both institutions. He is a licensed Professional Engineer.

Gabe Sasso
Senior Vice President, The Gale Construction Company
Gabe joined The Gale Construction Company in 1991 and ran the Princeton office for 11 years. Subsequently, he moved into the corporate offices and as Senior Vice President, is an integral part of the management team. Gabe often leads Gale Construction's pre-construction efforts for both development and third party projects of variable sizes, and then supervises project management operations during the construction phase and through turnover. He retains over 24 years of experience within the construction industry, progressively earning more responsible project management positions. He has successfully delivered dozens of new and renovation construction projects ranging in value from less than $1 million to over $60 million. Gabe earned his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University with a specialization in Construction Management and Geotechnical Engineering. He is an active member of the NJ Chapter of the United States Green Building Council.

Erik P. Sletteland
Vice President, Business Development/Client Service, The Gale Construction Company
As Vice President of Business Development/Client Service, Erik is responsible for both establishing and monitoring client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction, as well as leading The Gale Construction Company's sales, marketing and business development efforts. With over twenty-five years of experience in sales and marketing within the architectural and construction industries, Erik has a proven track record in identifying new business opportunities, developing new marketing tools and managing marketing efforts. Prior to joining The Gale Construction Company, Erik served as Principal for a leading architectural and interior design firm, where he was responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts for the New Jersey office. Prior to that Erik served as the Director of Business Development for another prominent architectural and interior design firm and as the Regional Sales Manager for a large construction and development company. Key to The Gale Construction Company's success has been Erik's ability to enhance the company's visibility through participation in industry associations such as IDRC, IOREBA and CoreNet where he is a Board Member for the New Jersey Chapter. Erik is also a Committee Member for the New Jersey Special Olympics Committee Golf Outing. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Connecticut College.

Robert Van Schepen
Vice President, The Gale Construction Company
As Vice President Bob Van Schepen manages the Princeton office and oversees the Insurance Compliance program for Gale Construction . Bob joined the company in 1989 as a Project Superintendent and has filled the roles of a Project Manager, Sr. Project Manager and Project Executive. Bob has overseen the completion of more than one million square feet of construction. An example of these projects include: Somerset Financial Center, Toys R Us, Paragon Federal Credit Union, BASF and Can-Do Fitness Center.
Prior to joining Gale Construction Bob worked for Advantage Interior Construction, Thomas Construction, Candeliere Construction, and George Harms Construction in various supervisory and management positions. Projects included hospitals, healthcare facilities, prison facilities, office buildings, and underground utilities for municipalities and agencies. He attended New Jersey Institute of Technology majoring in engineering and construction along with numerous construction oriented training programs.

Kevin Herb
Vice President, The Gale Construction Company
As Vice President, Kevin is responsible for the field superintendents. This responsibility includes resource assignments, quality control training for an effective hand off and successful completion of projects. Kevin retains 20 years experience ranging from superintendent to project management in a wide diversity of projects. Projects throughout the years include new construction of High-Rise Commercial developments, educational facilities, residential apartment complexes, high tech data centers, retail shopping centers, and Hotel renovations. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology from Montclair State University.

John S. Brucker
Project Executive, The Gale Construction Company
John has over 23 years of construction management experience, primarily in commercial office development which includes extensive work experience with building owners, tenants, architects and engineers regarding value engineering and construct-ability for both base building and interior construction. In collaboration with the Project Team, Mr. Brucker addresses all critical path issues such as schedule, budgets, permitting, long lead items, value engineering, logistics and construct-ability, security and safety. Some of the many clients that John has worked with include J.P. Morgan, The Hampshire Company, Louis Berger, Littler Mendelson, Chubb Insurance, and The Westminster Hotel for The Kushner Companies. John received his B.S. in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Construction Engineering and Management from Rutgers University, College of Engineering.

Christos Koutsokoumnis
Vice President & Controller, The Gale Construction Company
In his capacity as Controller, Christos has the overall responsibility of managing the company's accounting department and the financial, accounting, budgeting and cost reporting functions. Christos is also responsible for maintaining an effective system of internal accounting controls. As Vice President, Christos has been instrumental in managing the company's insurance and bonding programs. Christos joined Gale Construction in 2004 and overall has ten years of experience in the construction industry, as it relates to financial accounting for both general contracting and construction management. Christos began his career in public accounting and has five years of experience with one of the big four accounting firms. Christos is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA degree in Finance and a BS in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University in NJ.

Richard J. Lemere, CPE
Chief Estimator, The Gale Construction Company
Richard joined The Gale Construction Company after serving for 15 years as the Chief estimator and Senior Project Manager for another major New Jersey Construction firm. He is responsible for overseeing the estimating department including the supervision of estimating and management of pre-construction services as they relate to the development of conceptual estimates and budgets, preparation of bid packages, value engineering, and bid analysis. He has over 25 years of total construction experience with projects ranging from less than $1 million to over $50 million including wastewater treatment plants, stadiums, hospitals, medical office buildings, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, elementary, middle, and high school projects, performing arts facilities, university laboratory, classroom, and library projects, office buildings, warehouses, and historical restoration of national landmarks. Richard earned Bachelor of Science Degrees in both Forestry and Civil Engineering & Construction from North Carolina State University and is a Certified Professional Estimator.

Joanne Dean
Safety Director, The Gale Construction Company
Joanne has been with Gale Construction for over 8 years and has dedicated herself to developing and supporting a leading edge safety culture for our organization as well as promoting safety within the construction industry in general through her participation in the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), as a member of the editorial staff of Industrial Safety & Hygiene News (ISHI) and as a founding member of Build Safe New Jersey, a consortium of top builders within the state who have joined together to promote safety in construction.
Joanne's diverse background also includes working in pharmaceutical sales, public relations with the New Orleans Saints, and over 25 years as a health and fitness instructor. Joanne earned her Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Elementary and Secondary Physical Education from Elon University.

Patrick Calvo
Senior Project Manager Site Work, The Gale Construction Company
With over 34 years of experience in the construction industry Pat is knowledgeable in all facets of construction specializing in the management of site and utility work. Pat has overseen this phase of construction on many of our premier development projects as well as direct client assignments and is widely respected for his troubleshooting abilities and track record of identifying cost effective alternatives to various aspects of the site design. His proactive and collaborative approach when working with clients, government agencies and subcontractors, has made him an invaluable resource on major site projects. Some of Pat's notable assignments include several major office campus developments including Wesmont Station, The Hills Development, The Bedminster Municipal Building, Siemens, State Farm and most recently The Green at Morris County which includes the New Jet's Training Facility. Additionally Pat is responsible for and manages Gale Construction's Safety Program and has successfully completed OSHA 10, 30 as well as OSHA 500 oversight training. Pat received his B.S. from Rutgers University and a Masters of Management from The University of Phoenix.

Nicholas J. Giordano
Senior Project Manager, The Gale Construction Company
Nick has over twenty-seven years of experience within the construction industry. Beginning his career as a tradesman, he gained valuable field experience that quickly lead to a management position. From 1990 to April 2000, prior to coming to Gale, Nick was Owner of Giordano Construction, Inc. where he did numerous project for companies such as the NY Times, Asbury Park Press, Marriott, Hampton Inn Hotels, NJ Devils and NJ Nets, Lever Brothers and Putnam Publishing. His expertise spans all facets of project management, including estimating, scheduling, budgeting and value engineering. As a Senior Project Manger, Nick has overseen all phases of commercial construction projects including pre-construction and construction on both core & shell and interior build-outs. Some of his assignments include projects for T-Mobile, TIAA Creff, Connell Foley, Princeton Forrestal Village, Lowenstein Sandler, Alpharma, Cablevision, St. Paul's Travels, Wells Fargo, GSA and Office of The Controller of Currency. Nick attended Montana State University where he studied Architecture.

Robert W. Sander, P.E.
Senior Project Manager, The Gale Construction Company
Prior to joining The Gale Construction Company in 2005, Robert had spent over 30 years in various aspects of the engineering and construction industry. He has a proven track record of over 15 years as a structural engineer with a number of respected NYC consulting engineering firms in addition to heading up the engineering department for a well recognized NJ design-build firm. Robert has expertise in project planning, engineering design, conceptual development, value engineering, trade scope analyses, purchasing, project management and contract administration. His project experience is diverse and includes the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel, The Morristown and Parsippany Public Libraries, Witherspoon House in Princeton, The Sipporta Senior Housing Complex in Paramus, Spring Oak Assisted Living facilities in 3 South Jersey locations, The Jewish Community Center on the Palisades, several large distribution facilities, the new corporate headquarters facility for Wyndham Worldwide in Parsippany and major work in the IDT Corporate Headquarters in Newark. Robert received his Bachelor of Engineering degree as well as Construction Management Certification from New York University and is a licensed professional engineer in numerous states.

Gregory Trapp
Senior Project Manager, The Gale Construction Company
Greg joined The Gale Construction Company in 2000 and currently serves the organization in the capacity of Senior Project Manager. With 18 years experience spanning all aspects of the industry from tradesmen, general contractor and project manager to his current position, Mr. Trapp possesses the necessary skill sets and experience to manage any given project from inception, through construction and closeout.
Greg has successfully completed a variety of high profile assignments on behalf of many significant Fortune 500 clients including Maersk, Wyeth, Siemens, Atlantic Mutual, BASF, St. Pauls Travelers and J.P. Morgan. Greg's experience profile includes new construction and base building renovations as well as interior fit-outs and alterations.
Greg is particularly adept at identifying the drivers of each individual project balancing the budgetary and schedule objectives along with the quality that the client is expecting. He has a long history of delivering projects on time and below budget. Greg attended Bergen Community College participating in their Construction Management Program.
